Hello, my name is Richard Roach, a senior at Lindenwold High School Class of 2016.
I'm a Firefighter with the Lindenwold Fire Dept. running out of Battalion 1 on Linden Ave. I joined the Fire Dept. July of 2014 and have been a dedicated member since.
I was born January 23rd, 1998 at West Jersey hospital in Voorhees, NJ, and have lived in Lindenwold my whole life. My life has always been busy since the day I was born. My dad was a newly elected councilmen in Lindenwold and was always out seeing how he could help the community. A little while later I was starting school and my mom started her new job at the Lindenwold Public Library. Ever since I was little I always loved seeing fire trucks, every year they would come to my school for fire prevention week and let us go inside, and it just mesmerized me how complex the different tools are. They use to let us use the hose to put out the "fire" on their mini "houses", and the days like that are the day that made me want to be a firefighter.
