To start off this blog I want to show of a peice of artwork I bought on the Broadway trip. This was made by a man outside of the Hersery Store with a few cans of spraypaint and some putty knives in less than 5 minutes. He made this custom for me with the thin red line and the shadow of the Twin Towers. I chose this design as a tribute to the 343 firefighters who were killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001. We started our day with q workshop on improv, which was probably my favorite part of the day, especially when Kate and Marquez were arguing in a "china town burger king." After the workshop we took our buss to 44th and 8th street to eat at the famous John's Pizza, which is built in an old cathedral. I actually was a fan of the pizza their but everything else was delicious. Immediately after lunch we went next door to the St.James theater to see the mattene of "Something Rotten" I won't get into details of the musical because I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it and may want to. Once the show was over we then had about an hour to ourselves to explore the city, and go shopping. On my adventure I got to see the famous Engine 65 the Midtown Mob responding to a call which for some reason I found to be the most exciting part of the trip even though I only got to see it for about 8 seconds. |
